What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text strings stored on your device. Pixel tags, local storage, and session storage behave similarly: they persist data across page loads or sessions so a website can recognise preferences, maintain security, or measure anonymous traffic patterns.
We distinguish between storage that is strictly necessary to deliver the site and optional tools that only load after you opt in through our banner or settings panel.
How we use them on skyxaronix.world
Necessary cookies keep navigation stable, protect forms from simple abuse, and align with hosting features such as load balancing. They do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive because they are essential to provide a service you explicitly request.
When you enable analytics, we may collect aggregated statistics such as page views, approximate geography, device category, and referral channels. When you enable marketing, we may deploy tags that help us attribute visits to campaigns or cap how often you see a message.
Categories in detail
- Strictly necessary
- Required for security, network management, or to remember your cookie preferences UI state. These cannot be switched off through our tool without breaking core functionality.
- Analytics
- Helps us understand which sections visitors open most often so we can improve navigation and copy. We configure vendors to minimise personal data where possible.
- Marketing
- Supports measured outreach—for example Google Ads conversion or remarketing tags when we use them—only after explicit consent. Google’s use of data for ads is described in Google’s advertising policies and privacy materials linked from our privacy policy.
| Category | Typical role | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Security, preference storage | Always active |
| Analytics | Aggregated traffic insight | Optional |
| Marketing | Campaign measurement | Optional |
Duration
Session cookies expire when you close the browser. Persistent cookies may last from a few hours to twenty-four months depending on the vendor’s default, which we review during procurement. Consent records in localStorage remain until you clear site data or save new preferences.
If we onboard a vendor with longer defaults, we document the change on this page and refresh the effective date shown in the hero.
Your choices
The first time you visit, a banner offers Accept All, Reject non-essential categories, or Cookie Settings. Inside settings you can toggle analytics and marketing independently. Saving preferences writes a JSON object to localStorage so we do not show the banner on every visit unless you erase storage.
Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that already occurred lawfully, but it stops new optional reads or writes moving forward.
For visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, optional advertising and analytics tags are blocked until you opt in, in line with ePrivacy expectations and our GDPR records of consent.
Browser controls
Every major browser lets you block third-party cookies, delete existing ones, or alert you before storage occurs. Refer to your browser’s help centre for step-by-step guidance. Blocking all cookies may cause forms or security checks to fail.
Updates & contact
We revise this cookies policy when we add vendors, change categories, or adapt to regulatory guidance. Material updates move the hero date forward.
